UCLA James Lawson Jr. Worker Justice Center
The UCLA Reverend James Lawson Jr. Worker Justice Center, named after the prominent Civil Rights leader and labor activist, is dedicated to the research, education, and advancement of labor rights in California. Formerly the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union Hall, the historic building overlooking MacArthur Park in Los Angeles will undergo renovations and a seismic retrofit to serve as a longstanding resource for UCLA’s researchers and the city’s worker community.
